The Lexi Project

I am sure a lot of you who are involved within the fashion world in Second Life will have heard of Lexi Zelin, the owner and creator of AngelRED. A talented creator and designer who has help 100s starting out in the world of design in Second Life.

Admired by many, Lexi has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3, Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is just starting her chemo journey. Living in the UK, normally I would get all my treatment on the NHS without having to pay the huge cost. However in the US this is not the case. It is often a monopoly with insurance companies who ask huge amounts to be paid by the patient themselves. But for more on Lexi's story please take a look at her go fund me page where you can read all about her treatment.

This week though I have been in awe of the kindness I have seen in what some people refer to as 'just a virtual world' I have seen people coming together and work to help Lexi with her treatment.

Two people in particular who should I think be mentioned Heather Smithson and Toxxic Rhiannyr who have spend time creating The Lexi Project. Bringing together creators and designers from all over Second Life to help Lexi on her journey. More information about The Lexi Project can be found here:
with a new update posted explaining more about the event here:
So I guess what I am asking is no matter if you are a creator, a designer, a reseller, avid shopper or just someone who wants to help there is a way for everyone to get involved. What I love the most I think about The Lexi Project not only will you have chance to help this awesome cause but also be able to purchase exclusive items with 100% of the sales going to Lexi!

At the Meadow we have also set up a donation kiosk at the centre of the region should people wish to donated. At *C&C* Creations, AK Designs and Candy's exclusive Lexi Project items have also been placed in the stores as well as at The Lexi Project location. Landmarks to the event will also be placed around the region from the 26th of July.
